Mobile verification is the step that stops most new publishers, and the cause is nearly always the same: the number was submitted in a format the network could not deliver to. The phone is fine. The number as typed was not.
Here is how to get it right first time, and what to do if a code still does not arrive.
The number format is what matters most
Star-Clicks sends codes worldwide, so your number has to be given in international format: your country code followed by your mobile number, with the leading zero removed.
| Country | How you write it locally | What to enter |
| Sri Lanka | 071 234 5678 | 94712345678 |
| Pakistan | 0300 1234567 | 923001234567 |
| Nigeria | 0803 123 4567 | 2348031234567 |
| India | 098765 43210 | 919876543210 |
Three rules cover almost every case:
- Drop the leading zero. The
0 at the start of a local number is for dialling inside your own country. It does not belong in an international number.
- Do not add 00 or +. Select your country from the dropdown and enter the digits.
- No spaces, dashes or brackets. Digits only.
Check the country selector matches your number
The country dropdown on the verification page and the number you type have to agree with each other. If the dropdown shows a different country from the one your phone belongs to, the wrong country code gets applied and the message goes nowhere.
This catches people out most often when the country on their Star-Clicks profile is not the country they are living in now. Set the dropdown to the country your phone number belongs to, not where you happen to be.
Quick sanity check: after selecting your country, look at the number field. It should read as your country code followed immediately by your mobile number, with no zero in between and no digits missing from the front.
If the format is right and the code still has not arrived
Work through these in order:
- Wait a few minutes. International SMS is usually quick but not always instant, and some networks queue messages during busy periods.
- Check your phone has signal and is not in aeroplane mode. A message sent while the handset is unreachable may be delivered late or not at all.
- Check any SMS filtering. Some Android handsets and carrier apps move messages from unknown senders into a separate spam or filtered folder.
- Make sure your inbox is not full. Older handsets silently reject new messages when storage is full.
- Try once more, carefully. Re-check the country and the digits before requesting a second code.
Why some networks are harder to reach
Being straightforward about this: delivery is not entirely within our control once a message leaves us. Mobile operators in some countries filter or delay messages from international senders, and a small number block them outright. This is a real limitation and it is not a reflection of your account.
If you have worked through everything above and no code arrives, that is the point to contact support. Include your country and the number in international format — those two details let us check the route to your network directly, instead of a round of back-and-forth first.
After you are verified
Verification is one-time. Once your number is confirmed, your account is fully active and you can click ads and request withdrawals. The next thing worth reading is how to withdraw your money, since payout details are the other place small mistakes cost time.
